Please use the following guidelines:

All items must be rinsed clean

Acceptable items:
miscellaneous plastics without numbers
(e.g. bottle caps, drink lids, DVD's, CD’s, CD cases, cereal liners, straws, lawn/patio furniture, kids toys, pet igloos, laundry baskets, kiddy pools, & more, use your imagination)
plastic bags
plant containers and trays
plastics with numbers, sorted by number
(please no Styrofoam food trays even if they have a number)*

They cannot accept:
food-contaminated or dirty plastic
"biodegradable" plastic or plastic that says PLA 7 on the bottom
no plastic that contained motor oil, herbicides or pesticides
(a thin layer of dried paint is okay)
plastic with metal attached
PVC pipe
small toys
Styrofoam block, Styrofoam peanuts, Stryofoam food trays or
Styrofoam egg cartons (see more for recycling information),
VHS or cassette tapes

*Due to the expanded list of plastics recycled curbside,
May 2008 will be the last time that these plastics will be accepted
in the Master Recycler Plastics Roundups:
margarine or yogurt-type tubs
rigid plant pots- 4 inches or larger
