Oregon E-Cycles
Free, thanks to electronics manufacturers and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
Bring seven or fewer computers (desktops and laptops), monitors and TVs at a time to participating Oregon E-Cycles collectors for responsible recycling. The program does NOT provide free recycling of keyboards, mice, speakers, printers, scanners or other types of electronics or appliances.

A global campaign for One Day In Peace began on January 1, 2000 and helped inspire a UN Resolution and a joint United States Congressional Resolution that sites January 1 as a day of peace and sharing. “If we can live for one day in peace, then we can work together to make peace last, one day at a time.”

Volunteer Work Party at Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary

More than 100 rescued farm animals reside at this sanctuary near Scio, OR, east of Salem. Volunteer work parties provide an opportunity to visit the farm and help with routine chores, after which everyone stops for lunch and a roundtable discussion of any topic concerning animal welfare. Please bring your own vegetarian lunch.
